On 4/9/2008 the Stanford - Palo Alto User Group and Silicon Valley Computer Society had a joint meeting to hear a presentation by Professor Hany Farid of Dartmouth College on Digital Forensics at the American Legion Hall in Los Altos, CA.

One example of evaluating whether an image has been modified is to examine the consistency of chromatic aberration artifacts within the image.
Many different attributes of images were discussed during the very interesting presentation.
