  • Nearby was this excellent mechanical horse - we have lots of these in our MINIs...
  • This iconic building reminds me of Levis facilities...
  • This could have been any one of us, here at the morning get-together, as we return from our hotels to get fired up for a new day.
  • These two were in the clothing store that was opened up so we could do some local-flavored shopping. Apparently Miss Frontier Days (from the celebration just beginning) had parked _her_ MINI out front.
  • Breakfast at the hotel - getting ready to hit the road...
  • Cheyenne was all decorated up to welcome us, or, maybe to open the Frontier Days celebration. We had added MINIs parked along many of the streets.

  • This is Claude Bruni and his MINI support vehicle, checking engine codes in Fenton to see why we had gone into limp mode just outside of Cheyenne.
  • Getting ready to head out of town to Park City, UT - we really overwhelmed Cheyenne!

  • Here's Fenton, stopped at Buford, WY (Population 1, Elevation 8000 feet) having gone into limp mode again - unable to keep up with the trucks on I-80 at the summit. Next to him is good buddy Kowalski.
  • Kyle Conner's Kowalski dropped in (a welcome addition) and stayed with us as we got set up with MINI to be taken to Loveland, CO for a possible repair.

  • Checking out Fenton at MINI of Loveland - a quick diagnosis said the turbo had failed.
  • An extensive search for a replacement turbo, helped by Claude Bruni of MINI, resulted in the immediate start of a replacement procedure...

  • Overnight in Loveland, this is our usual evening arrangement, cameras, computer, editing the days images and getting everything backed up...
