Dream Machines in HMB 4/28/12

Aircraft flew in during the day - interesting airplanes.

NorCalMINIs parked together in the exhibit area.

We had Justa Cooper, S, JCW, and ALL4 present..

Many of us enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the 30 Cafe in the airport.

Nearby a variety of RC planes were being set up.

A giant heavy lift helicopter was on display.

A kit plane was among the aircraft flown in.

A replica of the first plane to cross the English Channel was the earliest aircraft on display.

There were an incredible number of P-51s on display.

Aircraft from many decades were on display.

This modern, pressurized turboprop was among the fastest planes.

Helicopter rides all day seemed very popular.

This P-40 was a surprise arrival.

This P-51 accompanied the P-40.

There were several Fiat Abarth present - of interest as a MINI competitor.

The Clubman anchored the line of MINIs.

NorCalMINIs came prepared to enjoy the day.

Not everyone in our group was excited.

Different years, different models.

Celebrating a great day on the coast.

If they made this a little smaller, it could have worked with our ALL4!

Rides on a monster truck were popular.

Among the machines on display were various farm implements. This is where the trend toward larger wheels could end up.

Train travel for those on a budget.

Maybe this is the MINI of trains!

Kids had lots of fun, this on a bungee jump.

Patriotic one-cylinder engines.

Even steam equipment was on display.

There was an incredible variety of concepts and interpretations of cars on display.

I decided to share the ALL4 by showing it's a real 4-door. Lots of people stopped to chat.

MINI owners like to share with each other.

There was food to share, BBQ, and pleasant company.

Spectators looked for advantageous viewing positions for the destruction derby.

Destruction derby in the afternoon drew a large crowd, and trashed the cars.

It took a lot of help to get the destructed cars ready for another competition.
